Matthew 24:1–3

Jesus Foretells Destruction of the Temple

[1] Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. [2] But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

Signs of the End of the Age

[3] As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (ESV)

10 Truths Jesus wants you to know about the end times:

1. Do not be led astray by false christs. (24:4-5; 23-28)
2. Jesus describes the intensity of the last times as “birth pains”. (24:4-26) 
3. The gospel will be proclaimed to the whole earth before the end times. (24:14)
4. Jesus will come again. (24:27-35)
5. No one knows when it will happen. (24:36-44)
